Weldon Jewellers of Dublin are a fourth generation family business, 100% Irish owned. James Weldon, founded the business circa. 1895. They moved to their present location on Clarendon Street in 1940. In 1996 James was made a member of the Company of Goldsmiths of Dublin, and in 2001 became Master Warden. James is widely regarded as the world’s leading expert on Georgian Irish silver.

This year James is again serving a term as a Warden of the Company of Goldsmiths. Today, his great-grandsons Colin and Garret carry on the business with the same passion and fire that he brought to it. Garret and Colin have both trained with the GIA and are qualified Gemmologists.
