Default Tom Watson

went to the senior Open at Crooked Stick. I was very impressed with Tom Watson. I followed his group for much of the round on Thursday and, although he was obviously very tired, he was both kind and attentive to the gallery. Nearly everyone who yelled his name got a look in the eyes and a smile from Tom. On one hole, he missed the green and was left with a terrible lie amongst the gallery. A woman in the gallery started talking to him as he was trying to focus on his shot. He even gave her a warm look and a smile. After the rounds, he willingly signed autographs, looking most of the fans in the eye after he signed. Most of the pros were great (not so much the shark). Watson was outstanding. It was great to see someone who knows their place in history and willing to give something back to the fans.
