Hi folks,
In recent days we have noticed a number of short spammy posts with links to Galway Businesses. The posts were all made by one post new members who registered with G Mail type accounts reflecting their client for that posts eg. Clentnumber1@gmail.c..etc.
These are links to some of the Spam Posts. The companies benefiting from the links all have one common factor. They share a common SEO services provider in Galway. The IP addresses of the posters are also similar despite having registered as different accounts.

http://www.irishbusi...forums/?p=64446
http://www.irishbusi...iouser/?p=64460
http://www.irishbusi...reland/?p=64453
A partially successful attempt was then made to remove the offending content and change poster identities by the agents of the SEO company.
That is why the posts in the first 3 links now appear nonsensical. We have retained copies of the original posts in our back up archives.
Another post
http://www.irishbusi...ne-use/?p=64451 is very similar and also spamming for a Galway Client Company, but appears to have been posted by another Galway SEO company.
The Irish Business Forums are an incredibly powerful way of getting your Galway Business or Irish Business noticed by Google and other search engines as every post here and links in your post and post signature for your company are immediately tweeted to over 20,000 Irish Twitter followers and are posted to Facebook immediately after the forum post is made here.
Some Galway Search Engine Optimisiation "SEO" companies have been posting very short links for Galway companies in these forums in recent days. It is very obvious that these companies are very ill informed and unprofessional in their SEO practices and are actually doing their clients more harm than good by these poor and unethical Black Hat SEO practices.
We will be contacting the Customers of these Spam merchants in coming days to advise them that their money is being used to spam the Business Forums.
Unless a director of each of these "SEO" companies contacts me this week with an unreserved apology, I'll name and shame in the forums next week.
Individual companies are always welcome to promote themselves in these forums by including information and links for their businesses in their post content and post signatures while chatting and engaging with other forum members.
Kind regards,
Stuart

Hi there,
You are very welcome!
A quick suggestion on how to improve your signature!
Your first and third links are an example of how to make a good hyperlink (Home Gifts and Thomas Paul)
Try and personalise the wording of your Facebook, Twitter and Free Shipping Links to include some of your key words (Rua Dublin on Twitter etc.) You get much more Google juice for key word rich links.) ![]()
Kind regards,
Stuart

Hi Niamh, You are very welcome. have you though of creating a Username for your facebook Page eg www.facebook.com/AvonCork ?
Check out http://www.facebook.com/username.
Don't forget Capital Letter when creating a username /AvonCork rather than /avoncork. It makes a huge difference!
Kind regards,

Just popping in to introduce myself. Since March 2012 I have been self employed as an Independent Avon Business Developer. It is different to becoming a Representative. My main focus to my business is recruiting new representatives and team retention. I will be looking for help re accounting, advertising, team/time management etc. I am a full time mum and my business comes second to this! That's why I love this kind of work because I can work around home and family commitments
Looking forward to making new friends here and learning valuable tips on how to improve my business.
Cheers for reading

Which is the best bank for small business users in Ireland?
I'm not just talking about bank charges and availability of loans and credit but good old fashioned customer service.
I have been with Bank of Ireland now for over 30 years and have stayed with then because of the personal service I receive from my branch.
However all of the power to look after the customer has now been stripped away from local bank branch staff by head office leading to a dramatic drop in customer service standards for SME Banking Customers in recent years.
Your thoughts?
